Repertoire Development for Vocalists

This event is 4:00 pm EASTERN TIME (3:00 pm Central, 2:00 pm Mountain, 1:00 pm Pacific).

Looking to learn more vocal repertoire for your therapeutic music? Desiring to connect more with other CMPs and students?  This webinar is an opportunity to learn from others, and share your own, favorite repertoire to use the voice in a variety of ways in therapeutic music. Whether or not you are certified in voice, come join this time to explore with one another.

The Repertoire Development Webinars are live, interactive using Zoom. You must participate by sharing with the group, and singing to demonstrate, examples of your own repertoire for the topic presented. You will receive a recording of the complete webinar, a list of repertoire selections and sources shared among the participants and facilitator, and the CEU certificate (CMPs only) when you complete all requirements for the webinar. Must register for the webinar no later than one week prior to its start date. Space is limited.

This webinar is facilitated by Melinda Gardiner, Module 1 and 3 teacher

Melinda Gardiner, CMP, RN,  has an extensive background in Integrative Healing modalities and has been teaching in the field since 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts. She taught Therapeutic Touch and other holistic therapeutic modalities at Columbia-Greene Community College, Hudson, New York, from 1985 to 1995. Melinda began playing the harp in 1987 and participated in Don Campbell's Sound School in the 1990s. Melinda has conducted workshops and retreats in integrating spirituality and music since 1994 and has taught for MHTP since 1997. She graduated from MHTP in 1998 and since then has worked as a CMP in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices.  She was President of the Board from Fall 1998 until 2003, and Executive Director of MHTP from 2004 to Spring 2017.

CMPs earn 2 CEUs.

Important notices you agree to:

  1. Webinar registration form and payment must be received by MHTP at least 7 days prior to each webinar.

  2. I must participate in the webinar by playing/demonstrating appropriate repertoire.

  3. I must provide the facilitator examples (names and source if known) of repertoire for the webinar’s topic. Facilitator will notify me about sending this information.

  4. I will set up a free Zoom account for the webinar (Facilitator will send instructions).

  5. I must complete the class evaluation form at the end of the webinar to receive all take-home information.

If you have a request for a type of repertoire that you would like to gain more experience on, please email the MHTP CEO.

Cancellation: If MHTP cancels a webinar because of too few participants (less than four (4)) or any other reason, all participants will be notified via email and will receive a full refund ($45). If a participant must cancel, that participant should immediately notify MHTP’s Registrar. If a participant cancels more than one (1) week in advance, a full refund will be given. If a participant cancels less than one (1) week in advance, no refund will be given, as last-minute cancellations could make the number of participants too small for a webinar to be viable. “One (1) week” is defined literally; i.e., exactly seven (7) days prior to the scheduled start of a webinar (e.g., for a webinar scheduled for 8PM Eastern on January 14, “One (1) week in advance” is 8PM Eastern on January 7). NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN IF YOU ARE NOT AN MHTP STUDENT OR CMP.
