2022 CMP Employment Survey

Employment Survey responses are valuable in giving ideas and actions to CMPs for use in offering their services to healthcare facilities. The data that we collect also helps healthcare administrators understand the value in providing paid work opportunities for CMPs.

This year’s survey netted 188 responses of roughly 1,050 MHTP graduates. Thank you to all who responded.

Results

Displayed below are the results of several key survey questions. Read the full 2022 CMP employment survey results (PDF).

Q4: Are you currently working as a CMP?

Q5: If YES to question 4, how many hours per week?

Of the participants who are currently working as a CMP, approximately 33% listed zero hours per week (zeros include volunteer hours). Approximately 53% said they work between 1-10 hours per week, and 15% said they work 10+ hours a week. These results suggest that of the CMPs currently working, the majority are working between 1-10 paid hours per week.

Q6: If you are currently working as CMP, what is your current employment arrangement?

Q16: How much of your income now comes from your work as a CMP?

Q20: Please select the hourly rate that most closely resembles your hourly rate for CMP services.
