Why Research is Important for CMPs

This event is 4:00 pm EASTERN TIME (3:00 pm Central, 2:00 pm Mountain, 1:00 pm Pacific).

Why is research on live therapeutic music important and can it expand our field?

In this webinar, you will learn about the importance of social science research on live therapeutic music to increase marketability for the arts in healthcare, raise credibility of our training and practices, create more career opportunities, and gain the attention of the stakeholders in healthcare (and who are they?). We will discuss the topics of human subject research, regulations, Institutional Review Boards, publishing studies, locating research online, and deriving value from available content.

Handouts will be provided prior to the webinar; a recording of the webinar is provided after the participant returns the webinar evaluation form.

Attendees should possess some computer skills and be able to perform internet searches (opening your web browser on another window) while working with Zoom breakout rooms.

CMPs and graduates of other therapeutic music training programs will receive 2 CEUs.

Cost: $45.00

CMPs and graduates of other therapeutic music training programs earn 2 continuing education units (CEUs).
