How to Use Zoom for Virtual Live Therapeutic Music: Technology, Presentation, and Practice

This event is 4:00 pm EASTERN TIME (3:00 pm Central, 2:00 pm Mountain, 1:00 pm Pacific).

Learn and see comparisons of different kinds of devices, microphones, internet access, computer sound settings for Zoom, and more technology solutions for virtual live therapeutic music.

Get tips on presenting your best self visually for the patient to see and feel a connection with you.

Ask questions, practice what you’ve learned, play or sing for a mock patient, and receive therapeutic music yourself.

You will receive handouts and a recording of the webinar to help you after the class.

Open to anyone. CMPs and graduates of other therapeutic music training programs earn 2 continuing education units (CEUs).

This webinar is facilitated by Mark Tulga, CMP, Board Member of Music Partners in Healthcare.

Mark Tulga graduated as a Certified Music Practitioner in 2016. He has provided live therapeutic music at the Sutter Roseville Medical Center with flute, alto flute, and clarinet, since January of 2017, including remote playing recently. Mark has witnessed the therapeutic and transforming power of music through a lifetime as a musician/performer and teacher. He has been a long-standing member of the orchestra for Broadway Sacramento, received a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester New York, and worked as an instrumental music teacher in the San Juan Unified School District for many years and in the music department at California State University, Sacramento. Mark is a Board Member of Music Partners in Healthcare.

Whether playing music in ICU, oncology, skilled nursing, or hospice, Mark loves having the opportunity to bring therapeutic and healing music into the lives of others.
